Somatic Stress Relief Workshop

  • Open Door 18 North Main Street Hartford, VT, 05001 United States (map)

All of our experience of the world--from frustration and anxiety to overwhelm or burnout-- is a symptom of nervous system dysregulation. If you want to change your experience, it's crucial to practice supporting your nervous system by signaling the body to return to a state of rest and recuperation. In this workshop, you will learn 3 ways to recover a natural state of ease using breathing exercises, somatic exercises, and TRE® (Tension Releasing Exercises).

TRE® is a body-based method for releasing stress and tension held deep within the muscles and connective tissue. TRE is a safe and effective stress release technique for most people, and can be complementary to talk therapy or other somatic work. It's used by Navy SEALs, first responders, and people all over the world to improve athletic recovery, mobility, and sleep, as well as to decrease chronic pain and discharge stress chemicals and trauma in the body. You'll let your body lead and set your own pace. At the end of class, you can expect to feel rebalanced like you got a massage from the inside out.
